About

The acclaimed vocalist, musician, producer and songwriter Nathan Heijnst was raised in Utrecht the Netherlands, where a buzzing art and music scene surrounded him at a jong age. Although he started with studying the violin, his interests in theater, singing and acting grew.
After high school he attended Artez Conservatory where he studied Musical Theater in Arnhem and Jazz in Enschede and Zwolle. There he had lessons from acclaimed vocalists and educators Adrienne West, Marja Reinders, Ronald Douglas, and Fay Claassen, and followed masterclasses by Darmon Meader, Judy Niemack, David Linx, and Peder Karlsson. 

His first EP created with Willem Ouwehand, That Could Be Me, recorded and released in 2020 was inspired bij Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass duo album, they set out to create new original jazz standards with a modern look on love. 

In 2023 his second release came out, Christmas Vol.1, where he collaborated with Andreas Haakshorst to create new and original Christmas music. Christmas Vol.1 was well received and will be followed up with a vol.2.
